MUSIC FOR CHOIRS

Helen has founded and run choirs since 1992. Her first was Kraterkoor in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, where she lived from 1992 – 1998.  On returning to the UK she formed the community choir Shreen Harmony (Mere, Wiltshire) and later Steam Heat (Wimborne, Dorset), a sixteen piece a cappella group, as part of the Confluence Project on the river Stour with Common Ground. In 2013 she founded Calstock's The Big Jazz Choir.

The Big Jazz Choir is celebrating it's 10th anniversary with a concert on
Thursday 29th June, 2023, at Calstock Arts.

Her most recent commission, “On Watching the Tide at Blaxton Quay”, for South West Chamber Choir was recently performed by Kamerkoor Collegium Utrecht, in the Netherlands.  Helen also arranges music in a variety of styles for choirs, vocal ensembles and solo voice.
